Amanda Novak

Senior Vice President, Strategic Integration at YMCA of the North

Amanda Novak has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Amanda started their career in 2005 at CommonBond Communities, where they held various roles including Senior Project Manager and Associate Vice President of Development. In 2016, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota College of Design. In 2017, they joined YMCA of the North as the Senior Director of New Development (Real Estate), where they focused on strategic business development and process improvement. Amanda later became the Vice President of Real Estate, leading real estate strategy and initiatives. Currently, Amanda holds the position of Senior Vice President of Strategic Integration at YMCA of the North, where they empower collaboration and supports various teams in driving the organization's mission.

Amanda Novak obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from St. Olaf College, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Amanda then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Iowa from 2003 to 2005.

YMCA of the North

The YMCA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social services organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. The YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities (YGTC) is a new YMCA association as of January 1, 2012. It is the result of an integration of the YMCA of Greater St. Paul (established in 1856) and the YMCA of Metropolitan Minneapolis (established in 1866) to enhance our ability to serve our community. Our cause and passion is to strengthen our communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are one of the largest nonprofit social service organizations in Minnesota and one of the largest Y associations in the United States. More than 220,000 members and participants are connected annually throughout the Twin Cities and western Wisconsin region with opportunities to be healthy, active, and engaged. We support our communities through 27 membership branches, seven resident camps, nearly a dozen day camps, and dozens of child care locations and youth development program sites. The Y nurtures the potential of every youth and teen, improves the community's health and well-being, and provides opportunities to give back and support neighbors. The Y is for everyone. We believe that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to be healthy, welcomed, confident, connected, and secure.
