Katie Demmler

Katie Demmler has over 16 years of experience in the behavioral health sector, currently serving as the Associate Executive Director of the Behavioral Health Department at the YMCA of San Diego County since October 2007. In this role, Katie oversees various services, including Counseling Services, TIDES, Healthy Start Building Bridges, and programs focused on youth resiliency. Prior positions include Program Director for TIDES and Healthy Start Building Bridges, managing county-funded initiatives aimed at supporting youth with behavioral and emotional challenges. Additionally, Katie has a background as an intern counselor and protective services worker. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Family & Human Services from the University of Oregon. Currently, Katie is pursuing further education at the University of San Diego.
