Earlier roles include Partner at Retail Interface, specializing in executive search for senior management in retail, and Owner of Honeymoon2Give and Schiphol Weddings, innovative businesses catering to wedding services. Eijkens also held roles in notable organizations such as Geef een Zonnedag and Nederlandse Interim Groep. Eijkens holds a BA in Commercial Economics from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and possesses a strong foundation in business and recruitment since beginning a career at Tempo-Team in 1996.
