Carl Wazen

Carl Wazen is the current Chief Business Officer at Yoco. Prior to their current position, they held various positions at Delta Partners and Citi.

Wazen began their career in 2005 as an analyst in Corporate and Investment Banking at Citi. Carl quickly transitioned to Delta Partners in 2006, where they became a Senior Associate. As one of the first recruits, they helped the company grow from a team of 10 to a global consulting and investment firm with over 200 professionals and 5 offices globally.

During their time at Delta Partners, Wazen worked on 15+ consulting engagements, 2 private equity investments, and 10+ corporate finance transactions, including a $1.7 Billion IPO. Carl's experience spanned 15+ markets and covered both advisory and investment work.

When Wazen joined Yoco in 2012, they were brought on as the Chief Business Officer. In this role, they are responsible for the company’s overall business strategy and performance. Under their leadership, Yoco has become one of the leading mobile payment providers in South Africa.
