John Pienaar

John Pienaar has extensive experience in the field of analytics engineering and business intelligence. John is currently working at Yoco as the Head of Analytics Engineering. Prior to this role, they held positions such as Senior Manager - Analytics Engineering and Senior Analytics Engineering Lead at the same company. Before joining Yoco, John worked at JUMO.WORLD as a Program Manager/Agile Lead and Senior Business Intelligence Analyst. John also has experience in managing a Business Intelligence team at Zando and working as a Business Intelligence Analyst at Virgin Active, PBT Group, Shoprite, and Clientele Limited. Earlier in their career, John served as a Manager in the Information & Process Department at UTi Worldwide and a Data/Systems Analyst at Real People Group. Overall, John has a strong background in analytics engineering, business intelligence analysis, project management, and data visualization.

John Pienaar attended Rhodes University from 1996 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics and Information Systems. John then went on to complete their Bachelor of Commerce Honors in Economics at Rhodes University in 2002. Before attending university, they completed their matriculation at Hudson Park High School in 1996.
