Engineering Manager at Yocto Project

Chris Abraham has a strong background in project management, software engineering, and technical leadership. Chris began their career as a Solutions Consultant at MediaServ.com in 1998 before moving on to work as an Internet Consultant at Online Travel Corporation in 2000. From 2001 to 2006, Chris was a Resident in Training at Zen Mountain Monastery. In 2006, they joined OpenPlans as a Software Engineer and later became the Technical Lead, Civic Media. In this role, they designed and delivered the technical vision for the Civic Media department, managed the web presence of national blog networks, and led the development of community engagement web applications. Chris then worked as a Project Manager at Infusion from 2013 to 2015 and at ITG Creator Ltd from 2015 to 2016. Chris served as a Development Manager at North American Search Group in 2016 and as a Project Manager, IT Systems at Oliver Wyman from 2017 to 2018. Chris also worked as a Project Manager at Aragon DAC from 2018 to 2019 and currently holds the role of Engineering Manager at The Linux Foundation, starting in 2019.

Chris Abraham completed their secondary education at St. Andrew's College from 1991 to 1996, earning an OSSD. From 1996 to 2001, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Additionally, Chris obtained the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute in October 2014 and became a Certified ScrumMaster through the Scrum Alliance in June 2013.
