David Planella has held various leadership positions in the tech industry. David founded and led the GitLab Community Relations team and managed the Ubuntu Community Team at Canonical Ltd. David also worked as a Hardware and Software Developer at WEKO Weitmann & Konrad GmbH & Co. KG and as a Software Consultant at Molins. David has experience in embedded hardware and software development, as well as data entry processing. In addition, David has a background in engineering from Northumbria University and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Throughout their career, David has demonstrated a consistent commitment to community building and developer engagement.
