Richard Purdie is a seasoned professional in the field of embedded Linux and open-source software development. Currently serving as a Fellow at The Linux Foundation and an Architect for the Yocto Project since December 2010 and October 2010 respectively, Richard has also been a Core Developer for OpenEmbedded since 2004. Prior to these roles, Richard held the title of Principal Engineer and Embedded Linux Architect at Intel Corporation from August 2008 to May 2018 and worked as a Software Engineer at Openedhand from February 2005 to August 2008. Richard Purdie earned an MSci degree in Physics from Durham University between 1999 and 2003.
