Dani Reese has a diverse work experience spanning over ten years. Dani started their career as an Event Coordinator at Bounce U in 2006. From there, they worked as a Customer Care Professional at Trade Secret and later as an Ecotourism Intern at Mariposario Montezuma Gardens. In 2012, they served as a Spa Concierge at INNOVATIVE SPA MANAGEMENT- ISM SPA.
In 2013, Dani became a Yoga Teacher and started their journey of self-employment, offering yoga classes independently. Dani also worked as a Yoga Teacher at Beloved Yoga & Wellness, Inc. from 2018 to 2019. During this time, they also started their own wellness retreat venture called Mindful Motivation, where they led local and international retreats focused on yoga, mindfulness practices, and healthy lifestyle habits.
In 2013, Dani also joined Yoga Alliance, where they held various roles and steadily progressed in their career. Dani started as a Customer Service Specialist and eventually became a Finance Associate. Dani then transitioned into the role of Sr. Credentialing Associate, where they reviewed and made credentialing determinations for yoga school and teacher applications. After that, they became the Standards and Credentialing Manager, responsible for communicating teaching standards, managing the credentialing process, and leading community outreach. Dani then served as a Membership Manager, overseeing membership operations and supporting the member support team. Later, they became the Director of Member Relations, responsible for growth, retention, and engagement strategies. Before their current role, they worked as the Vice President of Member Relations, ensuring community engagement and customer experience strategies aligned with the organizational vision.
In their most recent position, Dani Reese is the Head of Community Engagement at Yoga Alliance. Their responsibilities include long-term planning, member value, partnership management, community experience initiatives, and growing community engagement and membership. Dani leads a team focused on providing excellent community experience and support, engaging activities, and value-enhancing initiatives.
Dani Reese pursued a Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources/Ecotourism from West Virginia University, completing their studies from 2008 to 2012. Later, they attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 2020 to 2022, and successfully earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organizational Leadership. Dani also obtained several certifications including a Certificate in Wholebeing Positive Psychology from the Wholebeing Institute in 2019, becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher certified by the Yoga Alliance in March 2013, completing Yoga Teacher Training at the Asheville Yoga Center in 2013, and obtaining a Wilderness First Responder certification from SOLO Wilderness Medical School in May 2011.
