Shannon P. Canu

Shannon P. Canu is an accomplished entrepreneur and co-founder of several inclusive wellness ventures, including The Better Future, Yoga Box, and Mavericks Barbershop. Since October 2016, Shannon has played a pivotal role in establishing The Better Future, which focuses on community-driven health and wellness experiences. As the owner and co-founder of Yoga Box since 2019, Shannon has fostered an inclusive environment for individuals of all backgrounds to engage in yoga, offering classes for all skill levels. Mavericks Barbershop, launched in August 2023, aims to redefine the haircut experience with its emphasis on inclusivity and community. Prior to these entrepreneurial endeavors, Shannon served in the US Navy from 2012 to 2016, working as an Aviation Electronics Technician. Shannon holds an Associate of Science degree from San Diego City College and an Associates of Applied Technology in Information Systems and Communication Technology from Advanced Training Associates.
