Richard Zheng

Richard Zheng has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Richard currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at YOKE since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at PayPal as a Technical Team Lead from February 2021 to December 2021, where they were responsible for leading teams and contributing as a Software Engineer II from March 2020 to February 2021.

Before joining PayPal, Richard worked at BetterView as a Software Engineer from April 2018 to March 2020. In this role, they were involved in full-stack development, working with technologies such as ReactJS/Redux, ExpressJS, Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgresSQL. Richard also gained experience in CI/CD, DevOps, and related technologies like AWS, GKE, RabbitMQ, and more.

Prior to BetterView, Richard worked as a Full-Stack Web Developer at CyberSight Inc. from June 2016 to April 2018. Here, they managed server traffic, implemented backend and frontend solutions using technologies like NodeJs, Express, ReactJs, Electron, and Docker, and also assisted in managing MySQL databases.

Richard's earlier experiences include working as a Software Developer and Web Developer at UC San Diego Super Computer Center from October 2014 to July 2016, Software Development Intern at Visa from June 2015 to September 2015, Software Developer Internship at Foundation for Learning Equality from December 2014 to March 2015, Lead Web Developer at ATOM Movement from April 2014 to January 2015, and iOS App developer at The City Menu from June 2013 to January 2014.

Richard Zheng attended San Gabriel High School from 2009 to 2013. Following their graduation, they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering at UC San Diego from 2013 to 2017.
