Vytautas Vargonas

Vytautas Vargonas has a diverse work experience in software engineering. Vytautas began their career as a Full Stack Developer at Kolmisoft UAB in 2014, where they developed a VoIP systems management tool using Ruby on Rails, MySQL, and SVN. In 2015, they moved to TG LAB and worked on a gambling platform, building custom CMS, integrating third party software, and migrating sports betting product to React. Vytautas also identified performance bottlenecks in the live betting page and optimised it, reducing the CPU load by ~10 times. In 2019, they joined OVO Energy as a Software Engineer, where they worked in a team of 3-8 engineers on an energy supplier mobile app. Vytautas proposed solutions and led on encouraging contributions to the mobile application codebase from external teams of web developers, organised knowledge sharing and pair-programming sessions, and gathered learning resources for smooth transition from React to React-Native. Vytautas also improved CI/CD pipelines, optimising workflow times and automating the app deployment process. Currently, Vytautas is a Software Engineer at Yonder.

Vytautas Vargonas received their Secondary Education from Kaunas University of Technology Gymnasium between 2009 and 2012. Vytautas then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering at Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University, completing it in 2017.
