Herston Elton Powers is a seasoned professional in the fintech and investment sectors, currently serving as the Founding Managing Partner of 1982 Ventures, an early-stage fintech-focused venture capital firm in Southeast Asia. Powers' extensive experience includes roles as a Board Member at Bluesheets, a mentor at Plug and Play Tech Center, and an Ambassador for the Singapore FinTech Festival. Prior to these positions, Powers advised companies such as Gradana Indonesia and ALAMI Sharia, and held various senior roles at BNY Mellon, including Head of Southeast Asia Depositary Receipts & India Business Development. Powers holds a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD and a Master’s degree in Economics from Hunter College.
