Lindsay Cameron MCIPD, MIOEE is an accomplished director and founder of The Next Steps, focusing on the unique needs of individuals over 50 in the workforce. With extensive experience as a board trustee for organizations such as Time Together Harrogate and Harrogate Homeless Project, Lindsay actively contributes to community support for individuals with disabilities and the homeless. As an Enterprise Adviser with York & North Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership, Lindsay provides guidance to young people preparing for the workforce. Previous roles include chairing Bird Board, co-founding Chapter3 Enterprise CIC, and serving as a Leadership and Management Development Consultant for the Department for Work and Pensions, where Lindsay developed high-level training programs in collaboration with prestigious institutions. Academically, Lindsay holds a BA (Hons) 1st class in Training Education from Leeds Metropolitan University, along with additional qualifications from the NLP Centre of Excellence and the Institute of Leadership and Management.

The Combined Authority, created by City of York Council and North Yorkshire Council, has major new powers and funding to unlock transport and housing improvements, boost skills provision and help the economy transition to net zero.
