Lisa Baroni

Lisa Baroni joined York Capital Management in November 2020 and is a Managing Director, Chief Compliance Officer for the Americas and Legal Counsel. Lisa is principally responsible for regulatory and legal matters as they relate to York’s U.S. business.

From 2014-2018, Lisa was the Global Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel at Folger Hill Asset Management LP where she led the global compliance program and served on the Executive Committee.

From 2000-2014, Lisa was a federal prosecutor at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York where she conducted numerous jury trials and argued appeals in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

During her tenure in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Lisa spent five years in the Office’s Securities and Commodities Fraud Unit where she prosecuted financial crimes cases and worked on parallel proceedings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. After law school, Lisa clerked for United States District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan in the Southern District of New York.

Lisa received a B.A. from Barnard College and a J.D. from Columbia University Law School.
