Reena Mistry

Reena Mistry is an experienced planning and transportation professional currently serving as a Senior Planner and Active School Travel Coordinator for York Region District School Board since September 2018, while also holding the role of Active School Travel Coordinator at York Catholic District School Board. Previously, Reena worked for the City of Markham from May 2014 to September 2018 in various positions, including Transportation Engineering Coordinator and Development Technician. Reena started career as an Urban Planner Contractor at Malone Given Parsons Ltd. from January 2007 to May 2014, where responsibilities included managing urban planning studies and stakeholder engagement. Additional experience includes a role as Waste Management Officer at Environment Canada and an Administrative Assistant position at Monarch Estates and Homes. Reena holds a Master's degree in Applied Environmental Studies with a focus on Local Economic Development and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies with Honours in Environment and Business, both from the University of Waterloo.
