Brian Titherington

Brian Titherington currently serves as the Director of Transportation & Infrastructure Planning at York Region, a position held since January 2012, overseeing a team of approximately 50 staff and managing various aspects of transportation asset management, planning, project management, and sustainable mobility. Prior to this role, Brian held multiple director positions at York Region, including leading Roads & Traffic Operations and Roads, managing large teams, and overseeing road system maintenance, capital project design, and traffic operations. Experience also includes serving as Senior Project Manager for York Region Rapid Transit Corporation, where Brian focused on significant subway extensions, and as Project Manager at MMM Group delivering transportation engineering projects. Brian began a professional journey in city management as Section Head for a summer children's camp while studying at McGill University, where a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering was obtained.
