John Lachapelle

John LaChapelle is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in urban planning and infrastructure management. Currently serving as the Manager of Corridor Control and Incident Management at York Region since September 2017, John leads a team focused on managing and approving infrastructure within regional rights-of-way. Prior to this role, John held various senior positions at Bell from May 2005 to September 2017, including Senior Manager of Special Projects and Associate Director of External Relationships, where responsibilities included multi-stakeholder negotiations and managing municipal relationships. Earlier career roles include planning and development coordination at Michael Smith Planning Consultants, and planning positions at the Town of Georgina and the Corporation of the Town of Newmarket. John LaChapelle holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Waterloo.
