Julie Hordowick

Julie Hordowick is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental management and policy, currently serving as Program Manager for the Integrated Waste Management Plan at York Region since July 2011. Previous roles at York Region include Project Coordinator for Solid Waste Management and Water Efficiency and Conservation Coordinator. Julie has also contributed as a Steering Committee Member for the Ontario Food Collaborative from January 2017 to November 2024 and held the position of Project Manager at Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) from April 2003 to July 2011. Early career experience includes working as a Policy Researcher for Federated Farmers of New Zealand. Julie's academic credentials consist of an M.Sc. in Land Resource Science and a B.Sc. in Environmental Science from the University of Guelph, a Certificate in Public Relations from Ryerson University, and a Certificate in Process Management from Excellence Canada.
