Kate Porretta

Kate Porretta has extensive experience in communications, currently serving as the Manager of Communications and Special Projects at York Region since November 2016, with a previous role as Supervisor of Employee Communications and Engagement. Prior to this, Kate held the position of Senior Communications Officer at the Town of Newmarket and worked in various communication roles at Southlake Regional Health Centre, where responsibilities included media and government relations. Earlier career experiences encompass communications positions at Central Local Health Integration Network, The Hospital for Sick Children, and Corus Entertainment, complemented by foundational roles at CHUM Radio Ottawa. Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Ottawa and a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Communications from Seneca Polytechnic.
