Stephen Maio

Stephen Maio is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in municipal law and governance. Currently serving as Senior Executive Officer for People, Equity and Culture at York Region since August 2007, Stephen has held various significant positions including Deputy Regional Solicitor for Dispute Resolution and Construction Law, Senior Counsel, and Associate Counsel. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Counsel for the City of Mississauga from June 2005 to August 2007, and working as a Student-at-Law at Hicks Morley from September 2004 to June 2005. Stephen Maio holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, and a Bachelor of Laws from Western University.
