Thomas MacPherson is an accomplished transportation management professional with extensive experience at York Region (The Regional Municipality of York) since April 2006. Currently serving as the Manager of Transportation Long Term Planning, Thomas is responsible for prioritizing the transportation network in alignment with growth management strategies and overseeing crucial travel forecasting models. Previous roles include managing Transportation Asset Management with a focus on asset planning and climate change adaptation, leading an interim Transportation Project Management Office, and overseeing performance monitoring and research initiatives. Thomas has also held various management positions emphasizing project management and civil engineering throughout a progressive career.
