James Johnstone

James Johnstone has a diverse work experience in the IT field. James started their career as an IT Supervisor at Alert Ambulance Service in 2000, where they served until 2002. In 2002, they joined Exceptional Medical Transportation as an IT Operations Manager. In this role, they provided strategic leadership and managed various aspects of IT infrastructure and systems. James successfully delivered projects on time and within budget. Since 2010, James has been working at Yorktel, initially as the Vice President of Digital Media Operations. James was responsible for the design, planning, execution, and support of digital media operations for clients such as U.S. Treasury and FDA. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President, Global IT at Yorktel, leading the internal global IT organization as a department head. James Johnstone is also a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and a doctoral candidate.

James Johnstone is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Cybersecurity Engineering at The George Washington University - School of Engineering & Applied Science, with an expected completion date of 2024. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity - Critical Infrastructure Protection from Norwich University, completed between 2020 and 2022. James also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science and Technology, with a focus on Information Technology, from Thomas Edison State University. In terms of certifications, James is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) obtained in 2014 from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2). Additionally, they have a Computer Programmer/Operator/Systems Engineer certification from Cittone Institute, earned in 1997.
