Angela Havens has a diverse work experience in the housing sector. Angela is currently the Head of Customer Service Delivery at Yorkshire Housing since November 2021. Prior to this, they held various roles at Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, including Head of Income and Housing Access / Head of Income and Customer Support from November 2014, Head of Income and Enforcement from March 2012, Financial Inclusion Manager from May 2009, and Local Housing Manager from April 2007. Angela also served as the Head of Better Living at Rochdale Boroughwide Housing from April 2018 until December 2021. Throughout their career, Angela has managed substantial budgets, led teams, and implemented strategies to improve housing services and financial inclusiveness for tenants.

Angela Havens received their first educational qualification, an HNC in Business Studies and Finance, from Oldham College of Technology in 1989. Angela then pursued further studies in the same field at The University of Salford, earning another HNC degree between 1989 and 1991. Angela later obtained an HNC degree in Housing and Sustainable Communities from Long Distance Learning between 2003 and 2005. Prior to their higher education, they attended North Chadderton Comprehensive school from 1981 to 1986.
