Sonja de Ruiter

Sonja de Ruiter has extensive experience in investment management, currently serving as Head of Fund Management for Impact Private Debt & Equity and Head of Investments for Energy & Climate EU at Triodos Investment Management since May 2019. Prior roles include Senior Investment Manager and Investment Manager for the Triodos Energy Transition Europe Fund. Before joining Triodos, Sonja worked at ING as an Associate in Structured Finance and participated in the ING International Talent Program, focusing on capital structuring and lending services across Amsterdam and Singapore. Earlier experience includes consultancy roles at Avance and Transfer Latin Business Consultancy, with a focus on financial management and international market development. Sonja's educational background encompasses a Master's degree in International Economics and a Bachelor's degree in International Business from the University of Groningen, along with a minor from the University of Buenos Aires.
