Mike Pearson

Mike Pearson is a highly experienced professional in land management and planning, currently serving as the Senior Portfolio & Partnerships Manager at Yorkshire Water since November 1998. In this role, Mike leads a team focused on establishing a Countryside Management centre of excellence and ensuring compliance with land obligations for the UK's 16th largest landowner. Mike has held various positions within Yorkshire Water, including Portfolio Manager and Catchment Land Manager, successfully overseeing numerous high-impact projects such as "Beyond Nature" and "1 Million Trees." Additionally, Mike has been an active member of RICS, contributing to the Land & Natural Resources Professional Group and the RICS Y&H Board. Previous roles include Director at Pennine Prospects Ltd, and Planning & Economic Development Officer at Barnsley Council, coupled with a solid foundation in surveying gained at British Coal. Mike holds a Master's Degree in Town & Regional Planning from Leeds Beckett University and is a qualified Minerals Surveyor.
