Richard Stuart

Richard Stuart is an accomplished director with extensive experience in the civil engineering and construction management sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Capital Delivery at Yorkshire Water since June 2021, Richard previously held multiple roles at Costain Group PLC from October 2014 to June 2021, including Highways Sector Director and Project Director, where responsibility included managing Highways Agency Smart Motorway Schemes. Additionally, Richard spent time on secondment with Highways England as Head of Programme Delivery between August 2015 and October 2016. Richard began his career as a Graduate Civil Engineer at Transport for London after earning a BEng (Hons) in Civil & Environmental Engineering from The University of Edinburgh. Richard has also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership & Management from the University of Sussex and has further education from the University of Cambridge.
