YorùbáTexts.com is a digital catalog committed to preserving, documenting, and increasing access to every published Yorùbá text ever written. From foundational novels and folktales to religious tracts, educational textbooks, academic theses, and newspaper columns, the project seeks to collect bibliographic data about texts written in the Yorùbá language regardless of genre, format, or publication date.

Born out of the founder’s struggle to locate Yorùbá materials for academic research, YorùbáTexts answers a critical need: the absence of a central platform where Yorùbá texts are listed, discoverable, and traceable. Many Yorùbá works, especially those published before the 2000s, are at risk of extinction due to a lack of documentation, print scarcity, or fragmentation across informal sources. This project is a step toward reclaiming and preserving Yorùbá literary heritage for researchers, students, language learners, publishers, and future generations.
