Senior Product Manager - Club Subscription

Product · Full-time · London, United Kingdom

Job description

Salary: £60,000-70,000 DOE

Nice to meet you

Yoto puts kids in control of an inspiring world of audio.

Our screen-free audio players let kids listen, learn and play at their own pace. All while making sure they’re safe to explore what inspires them.

The award-winning Yoto Player launched in 2020, just before the big you-know-what. Now you can find it on play mats, kitchen counters and bedside tables all around the world. Yoto Mini, our portable player, launched in late 2021 and is already accompanying kids on some incredible adventures.

The Yoto Card Store has more than 700 titles from some of the world's best creators, publishers and labels. We also create Yoto Originals like this one. Oh, and this one too!

Product Mangement Department:

Yoto Club is our flagship subscription service that delivers physical Yoto audio cards to customers on a recurring monthly basis, as well as offering additional features and discounts that help families to make the most of the Yoto ecosystem.

We have big ambitions to grow Club, and this is a great opportunity for the right person to get in on the ground level and become a key person within the business and become the owner of Club, and the central point of comms between all teams. We need someone that is able to be very hands on to start before evolving into a management role as the Club team grows, and it becomes a larger part of Yoto’s revenue stream.

On a day-to-day basis the role will include resolving bottlenecks, building subscriptions features, defining the roadmap of implementation when not everything can be done at once, and breaking down barriers and building consensus internally. It will also mean finding ways to get close to our existing customers (and potential future customers) to find out what they want from the service, benchmarking against subscription best practices, analysing data and then using this feedback to create insights that can be used to further improve the offering.

What you will need:

  • Must have B2C subscription experience within a digital or physical business. Unfortunately we will not consider candidates without this.
  • Business acumen, having demonstrated playing a key role in driving the growth of a subscription business through customer acquisition, retaining customers and reducing churn.
  • Analytical mindset, working with the data team to analyse usage patterns, then working with marketing on optimisation of the offer
  • Highly user centric approach to product roadmapping, to be the voice of the customer.
  • Good stakeholder management skills as the role will require working across departments - including marketing, content, finance, user experience, engineering, operations - to define and build the product requirements, and release these into the wild.
  • Hands on approach to shipping - this is a strategic role but we need someone that also loves to roll their sleeves up.
  • Detail focussed, with an ability to dig into the Club systems architecture to understand their limitations when specifying product changes
  • Nice to have, but we’d love it if you’ve experienced working in a startup and a more mature organisation, or even better been on that journey. We’re currently in a transition phase ourselves and having team members with a well of experience will be a big plus

What we offer in return

  • Competitive salary and EMI share options
  • Hybrid working with a choice based approach (we would like you to come into the office once a month, and more)
  • 25 days holiday
  • Pension
  • A collaborative tech-focused and creative environment
