Ian Shanks

Ian Shanks has extensive work experience in software development and engineering. Ian began their career at Heritage Bank in 2003 as a UniVerse Developer, a role they held for seven years. In 2010, they joined Youi Insurance as a UniVerse Developer and later transitioned into various leadership positions such as Software Development Team Manager, Senior Software Development Manager, and Lead Developer. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Software Engineering and Enablement at Youi Insurance.

Ian Shanks is currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Data Science at the University of Adelaide, with an expected completion in 2023. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Information Technology in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland.
