Laura Wood

Laura Wood serves as the Head of Reinsurance & Appointed Actuary at Youi Insurance since April 2023 and is a member of the Reinsurance Faculty Advisory Board for ANZIIF. As a Director and Committee Member at WiRe Australia since January 2022, Laura has contributed significantly to the industry. Previous experience includes roles at Swiss Re from January 2015 to April 2023, where Laura held positions such as Key Account Manager and Head of Business Development for ANZ, and at Aon from December 2012 to December 2014 as Senior Actuary, specializing in reinsurance optimization. Laura began a career in the actuarial field at OdysseyRe, RSA, and Co-op Insurance, building a solid foundation in analytics, pricing, and claims. Academic credentials include a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics with Finance from the University of Leeds.
