Alex O'Connell

Alex O'Connell has a diverse work experience starting in 2007. They have held various roles in different industries including fundraising, hospitality, and retail. Notably, Alex has worked as a Strategic Partnerships Lead and Senior Fundraising Engagement Manager for Young Lives vs Cancer, a prominent cancer charity in the UK. Prior to that, they worked at RNLI, the largest volunteer-led charity in the UK, where they served as a Community Support Co-ordinator and Fundraising & Communications Office Administrator. Before entering the nonprofit sector, Alex gained retail experience as an Assistant Supervisor at Bullfrogs clothing & Shoe company. In the early stages of their career, they worked as a Bar & Catering Assistant at Compass Group and Bartender & Waitress at ABSOLUTE HOSPITALITY RECRUITMENT LTD.

Alex O'Connell obtained a BA Hons degree in Creative Writing from the University of Roehampton, where they studied from 2006 to 2009.
