Schuyler Foerster

Schuyler Foerster has had an extensive career in both the non-profit sector and the military. From 1997 onwards, they served as President & CEO of the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh, where they led a non-partisan educational organization focused on promoting international understanding. During this time, they received recognition from the World Affairs Councils of America for their outstanding work. Schuyler also hosted a radio program and created a community network connecting Pittsburgh's international communities. Prior to their work at the World Affairs Council, Schuyler had a 26-year career in the United States Air Force, where they reached the rank of Colonel. Schuyler served as a special advisor in security and arms control policy, with assignments in Washington D.C. and Southeast Asia. Schuyler also taught political science as an intelligence officer professor.

Schuyler Foerster has an extensive education history. Schuyler completed their post-doctoral fellowship in National Security Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School in 1989. Prior to that, they obtained a DPhil in Politics from the University of Oxford in 1983. In 1976, Foerster earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from American University. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University in 1972. Foerster's undergraduate education took place at the USAF Academy, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in International Affairs in 1971.
