Marcel Melis

Marcel Melis is the current VP at YoungAmericaCapital. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Energy Capital Management, a company they founded in 2005. Marcel has over 12 years of experience in the energy trading business, having worked for BP, Statkraft, Reliant, DELTA Energy, and Energy Capital Management. In their role as Portfolio Manager for MMT Energy Fund, they grew the business from its launch in 2006 to a professional trading operation with a diversified investor base of more than $140 million and over 50 institutional investors from Europe, America, and Asia.

Marcel Melis has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Groningen.

They work with Traci E. Rhone - VP of Business Development, Jon Stein - VP of Investment Banking, and Kevin Rickman - Director. Marcel Melis reports to Peter Formanek, Founder & Managing Partner.
