Nicki Kile

Nicki Kile is the current Control Freak at YouNow. Prior to that, they worked as an accountant at Dwolla from November 2016 to February 2020. In their role as an accountant, they provided support to the Accounting and Finance department by performing day to day accounting functions, as well as operational internal controls. Nicki also worked closely with cross-functional teams such as Fraud, Sales, Compliance, and Dwolla Customer Support.

Some of their duties included recording daily financial activity, creating and entering journal entries as necessary, ensuring that invoices were recorded accurately and paid, and Ensuring revenue was recorded properly; assisted Sales and Account Management teams with collections as necessary. During the month end close process, they worked closely with the Controller and assisted in the creation and analysis of financial statements. Additionally, they were responsible for ensuring daily ACH files were transmitted successfully and keeping track of all payments, invoices, and statements.

Nicki was also responsible for reconciling the FBO account and many revenue accounts on a daily basis. Nicki often responded to accounting and finance-related inquiries and continued to work towards improving the receivables process. When payment discrepancies or disputes arose, they were the one who resolved them on behalf of the company. Lastly, they performed ad hoc accounting / financial reports or tasks as needed.

Nicki Kile earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from Grand View College and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from AIB College of Business.

They are on a team with Annie Blanco - Community Lead, Muchen Zhou - VP, Data & Analytics, and Marta Wilgan - Head of Engineering. Their manager is Jon Brodsky, CEO.
