Matt Schultz has worked in various roles in the tech industry since 2005. In 2005, they were a Program Manager for Kids for Peace, where they managed a youth program focused on training teenagers to lead peer-to-peer youth education about world cultures and issues of peace, justice, and conflict resolution. Matt was also responsible for developing a youth leadership program curriculum about complex social issues such as child soldiers, land mines, and the International Criminal Court, as well as creating and updating the company website with program information and photos from recent events using HTML and CSS.

From 2007 to 2009, Matt Schultz worked as a freelancer, facilitating community dialogues to address common issues and collectively develop effective solutions. From 2009 to 2013, they were a Program Manager for the International Rescue Committee, where they led a comprehensive Family Support and Wellbeing program for resettled refugee youth in the Greater Baltimore area. During this time, they developed a comprehensive Family Support & Wellbeing program consisting of caseworkers providing life skills trainings for parents and youth, contracted mental health therapists providing support groups, and technical assistance and partnership building with teachers, school leadership, and area hospitals.

From 2013 to 2016, Matt Schultz was an Application Engineer at Synaptic Advisory Partners, where they designed new features based on customer feedback, user testing, adoption metrics, and market trends as part of a team including data analysts, graphic designers, sales people, marketing staff, and other developers.

In 2021, Matt Schultz began working as a Principal Application Engineer for Youreka, now known as Youreka Labs. Matt works on an internationally-utilized, enterprise-level Field Service app, with more than 30,000 Youreka forms being created daily for onsite inspections, maintenance, compliance, and auditing.

Matt Schultz attended Towson University from 2000 to 2005, where they earned a BM in Jazz Composition and Spanish. In 2004, they attended Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, studying Music, Spanish, and Argentine Literature. Matt then attended American University from 2008 to 2010, where they earned a Masters of Arts in International Peace and Conflict Resolution.
