John Masheter

John Masheter has extensive work experience in various roles within the IT industry.

John started their career as a junior ASP web developer at Oakley Internet in 2000, gaining exposure to a range of IT roles and responsibilities. John worked there until 2009.

In 2010, they joined Vocal, a business continuity solutions provider, as the first in-house developer. John was responsible for assisting the technical director in growing the internal IT function and replacing the outsourced development resource. John worked on developing and supporting various business continuity-related web applications, middle-tier application components, and Windows services. John stayed at Vocal until 2011 when the company was taken over by Everbridge.

From 2011 to 2017, John worked at InsureandGo Insurance Services as a senior developer. John was part of the internal application development team and played a key role in developing and supporting a variety of e-commerce web applications, middle-tier application components, and internal back-office applications for the UK travel insurance digital landscape.

In 2018, they joined TWC (The Wholesale Company) as a Solution Architect and DBA. Initially contracted for 6 months, they developed and supported the data warehousing, data management, and MI reporting needs of the business using SQL Server 2008 and above. Later, they designed and implemented a new data warehousing and ETL system around SQL Server 2017 and built a cost-effective cloud-based infrastructure in Amazon Web Services to support the system. John worked at TWC until 2019.

In 2019, John joined Yourkeys as a Software Engineer, and they are currently working in this role.

John Masheter completed their education at South East Essex College, where they obtained a Higher National Diploma in Computer Science from 1997 to 1999, and a BTEC in Computer Science from 1995 to 1997. Prior to their college education, they attended Cecil Jones High School from 1990 to 1995, although no degree or field of study was specified. John also received additional certifications, including being a Certified Business Solutions Specialist from Microsoft, which they obtained in January 2008, and a Certified Application Developer, which they obtained in January 2005, also from Microsoft.
