THIS IS WHAT WE DO
Yourright Foundation is a Dutch foundation that enables people with disabilities to do volunteer work, for example in Tanzania, as a trainer.

In the Netherlands, people with disabilities often work in daytime activities. Here they use their skills to perform certain activities. These skills can give children worldwide, but primarily in Tanzania, a head start in the field of self-reliance. These children learn a skill and the people with a disability get the opportunity to experience what it is like to do international volunteer work. We guide these trainers with the preparations and on site.

On the spot, we apply a no-nonsense, reasonably business-like approach to support: the communities and individuals we support are considered "business" partners and co-investors and we treat them as such. We develop and guide result-oriented programs of self-reliance so that a community is prepared and able to provide for their own maintenance in the longer term.
In consultation with local initiatives, we determine which initiatives we support so that they are ultimately responsible.

DOELSTELLING
Yourright Foundation is een Nederlandse Stichting die mensen met een beperking in staat stelt om als trainer onder deskundige begeleiding vrijwilligerswerk, in onder andere Tanzania, te doen.

In Nederland werken mensen met een beperking vaak in dagbesteding. Hier benutten zij hun vaardigheden om bepaalde werkzaamheden uit te voeren. Deze vaardigheden kunnen kinderen wereldwijd, maar primair in Tanzania, een voorsprong geven op het gebied van zelfredzaamheid. Hierdoor leren de kinderen een vaardigheid en de mensen met een beperking krijgen de mogelijkheid te ervaren hoe het is om internationaal vrijwilligerswerk te doen. Wij begeleiden deze trainers in het traject er naartoe en ter plaatse.

Ter plaatse hanteren we een no-nonsense, redelijk zakelijke, benadering van ondersteuning: de gemeenschappen en individuen die we ondersteunen worden beschouwd als 'zakelijke'
