Carlos Alberto Domingues

Carlos Alberto Domingues has extensive work experience in the field of information security and compliance. In their most recent role as Director of Information Security at YouScience, they are responsible for overseeing the organization's information security practices. Prior to that, Carlos served as the Information Security and Compliance Director at CEHE - Center for Excellence in Higher Education. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and managing information security practices. Carlos also worked as the Director of Information Systems Compliance and Risk Management at OpenEdge Payments, where they supported the governance and risk control activities of the organization. Carlos Alberto has also held positions at Trustwave, Zions Bancorporation, ADP AdvancedMD, SecurityMetrics, ModusLink, Corporation of The President, and Certiport, where they gained experience in various aspects of information security, including risk management, compliance, and IT auditing. Throughout their career, Carlos has demonstrated expertise in implementing security policies, conducting assessments, managing audits, and developing security strategies to mitigate risks.

Carlos Alberto Domingues received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University from 1991 to 1994. Carlos Alberto then continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 1994 to 1995.

In addition to their academic degrees, Carlos also holds several certifications. In 2003, they obtained the IC3 certification from Certiport - A Pearson VUE Business. In 2005, they earned the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)2. Carlos Alberto'smost recent certification is the Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) PCI-DSS, which they obtained from the PCI Security Standards Council in 2010.
