Carla Powell

Carla Powell, CFRE, has an extensive work experience in nonprofit management, marketing, and fund development. Carla served as the Chief Growth & Development Officer at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc., starting in November 2022. Previously, they held the role of National Chief of Advancement & Development at the same organization from July 2014 to April 2023. Before that, Carla worked as the National Director of Corporate & Philanthropic Giving at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. from August 2009 to June 2014. Prior to their tenure at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc., Carla was the owner and CEO of Cornerstone Resources, a Marketing & Fund Development Consulting Firm, from January 2001 to July 2009. Carla provided clients with various services including nonprofit management, marketing, strategic planning, and training programs. Carla's career in the nonprofit sector began at Prison Fellowship Ministries, where they served as the Regional Director of Neighbors Who Care from 1995 to 2001.

Carla Powell, CFRE earned a B.A. degree in Economics from Auburn University, graduating between the years 1987 and 1990.
