Riikka Pasanen

Riikka Pasanen is an experienced professional working as a Member of the Advisory Council on Youth of the Council of Europe since January 2024, where responsibilities include advising the Committee of Ministers on youth-related matters. Riikka also serves as an Event Coordinator at the University of Helsinki and as a Trainer for the European Youth Forum. As the Head of Content for the Youth Empowerment Seminar 2024, Riikka is instrumental in empowering youth exchange students and volunteers. Additionally, Riikka co-founded The Value-driven Advanced Leadership Association in Sweden, focusing on youth leadership education. Previous experience includes roles at the Finnish Immigration Service and various positions within Youth For Understanding, highlighting a strong background in student mobility, project management, and educational leadership. Academically, Riikka holds master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of Helsinki and has studied at the Universidad de Costa Rica.
