Nkechi Ijeomah serves as the Governance Manager at Youth Futures Foundation since December 2022, bringing extensive experience in administrative and governance roles. Prior to this position, Ijeomah worked as an Administrator at the Council for Higher Education Internal Audit from August 2007 to November 2022, and as Clerk to the Board at Heantun Housing Association from January 2013 to June 2019. Previous experience includes a role as a Learning Coordinator at NHS from March 2004 to June 2005 and various positions at the University of Birmingham from February 1998 to February 2004, including Development Executive and Development Officer. Ijeomah holds a Master of Arts in Communications Policy from City, University of London, a Postgraduate Diploma from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Ibadan.

Youth Futures Foundation is the What Work’s Centre for youth employment. We aim to narrow employment gaps for young people facing the greatest challenges by identifying what works and why and investing in evidence generation to improve policy and practice. Everything we do is guided by robust evidence of what works to support young people from marginalised backgrounds into good jobs. We learn from the projects we fund and scale up that learning to drive genuine, long-lasting systemic change
