Darryl Harvey, MSHSA, currently serves as the Director for the Black Child Book Fair since January 2019 and as Program Manager for Youth Guidance since September 2015, overseeing the Becoming A Man (BAM) program's implementation in 23 Chicago Public Schools. Previously, Darryl held the position of Clinical Program Director at Aunt Martha's Youth and Family Services, managing a residential group home and supervising a team of 12 staff members. Other roles include Treatment Coordinator at the National Youth Advocate Program, where case management for a specialized foster care program was handled, as well as Case Manager at Behavioral Staffing/Catholic Charities, assisting veterans in a residential setting. Darryl began a career in youth mentorship as Mentor Coordinator at Adoptions Unlimited, where a volunteer program for teen wards was developed. Education includes a Master of Science in Human Services Administration from Spertus Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northern Illinois University.
