Will Irvin

Will Irvin has over 12 years of experience in education and youth development. Will is currently the Director of Career Readiness and Postsecondary Success at Youth Guidance, where they lead a team of educators and manages a $1.5 million annual budget. Will also develops partnerships with postsecondary pathway organizations and collaborates with local and national teams to enhance college and career supports for young people. Prior to their current role, they worked at the Gary Comer Youth Center as the Director of College Preparation, High School Transition Manager, and Assistant to the Executive Director. At St. Columbanus School, Will served as a 5th-8th Grade Teacher, focusing on developing writing skills. Will began their career as a Volunteer Teacher with the Inner City Teaching Corps, where they also served as a Support Person, fostering community among other volunteer teachers.

Will Irvin received a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy & Political Science from DePaul University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Will then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University from 2010 to 2013. In addition to their degrees, Will also obtained a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Chicago in March 2021. Furthermore, they acquired an IL Elementary Teaching Certificate from the Illinois State Board of Education, although the specific month and year of its attainment is not provided.
