Jonathan Weinstein is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in grant management and financial analysis. Currently serving as the Financial Grants Administrator and Contract Quality Manager at Friends of Island Academy since December 2018, Jonathan oversees government grants, conducts financial analytics, collaborates on budget creation, and ensures compliance in reporting. Previously held the role of Financial Analyst at the same organization, managing finances for subcontractors and supporting budgeting efforts. Jonathan's background includes mentoring and teaching roles at Yeshiva University, an accounting internship at the Orthodox Union, and an internship at the American Museum of Natural History. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Yeshiva University and has completed further education at NYU School of Professional Studies and Springboard.
Youth Justice Network
Youth Justice Network was founded in 1990, at the alternative high school on Rikers Island, to address the disproportionate incarceration of young people of color and support them as they returned home. YJN’s mission is to break cycles of incarceration and build a more equitable justice system. For more than 30 years, YJN has supported young people whose lives intersect with NYC jails and justice systems by providing them with individualized advocacy, mentorship, and opportunities to grow, thrive, and lead.
