Youth Rising operates by creating safe and vibrant community youth spaces for vulnerable young people and at-risk youth. In the centers, young people get the training and the skills they need to access economic opportunities and pathways to employment. Additionally, they attain leadership skills, reproductive health skills and join a larger network of young people in their community through which they build relationships for business creation and employment linkages.

Youth Rising employs a 360-degree, ecosystems approach to youth development that includes youth engagement at Youth Rising Community Centers and at Student Learning Centers. 

Youth Rising Community Centers
Youth Rising community centers are safe spaces for community organizing. At our centers currently located in Kitende (Entebbe), Kampala and Mukono, we offer 5 cross-sector cutting development programs that benefit young people, women and children. The programs include: 

The PIVOT Program
The program offers vocational and business skills to young people, to become employable or start their own businesses. Under one roof, the youth learn a market-viable vocational skill, access youth health services, build business ideas and refine employability skills. 

Others: Youth Health Ambassadors Program, Literacy for Life Program, Women Rising Vocational Program and Community Care Clinics.
