Bill Matthews

MD, Support Services at Youth Villages

Bill Matthews is the current MD of Support Services at Youth Villages. Bill has dedicated their career to fighting for constitutional protections for everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, or income. Bill's research is designed to assist the American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee (ACLU-TN) in the fight to overturn harsh pre and post-sentencing punishments that leads to felony disenfranchisement by using the experiences and tribulations of Tennesseans marginalized by the American Criminal Justice System.

Bill Matthews has a Master's degree in Applied Anthropology from The University of Memphis, and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Tennessee State University.

Bill Matthews reports to Patrick W. Lawler, CEO. They are on a team with Fred Thomason - Chief Medical Officer, Caroline Hannah - COO, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma & Oregon, and Richard Shaw - Chief Development Officer.
