Vice President, Development at YouthBuild

Lee H. has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. They began their career as an Assistant to the Mayor at the Borough of Highland Park Mayor's Office in 2006. They then worked as an Intern and Program Associate at Massachusetts Campus Compact from 2008 to 2009. Following this, they joined Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston as an AmeriCorps*VISTA, Youth Program Developer from 2009 to 2011, and later as a Program Manager from 2011 to 2012.

In 2012, Lee H. transitioned to Year Up, where they served as a Development Coordinator from 2012 to 2013 and as a Development Specialist from 2013 to 2013. They also worked as a Strategy & Development Consultant at Community in Schools of Lee County from 2013 to 2014.

Lee H. then held the role of Associate Director, Constituency and Pipeline Development at Duke Medicine Development & Alumni Affairs from 2014 to 2015. During this time, they contributed to the successful "Duke Forward" campaign.

They also worked as an Independent Contractor, conducting research on charitable giving and foundations at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014.

From 2016 to 2016, Lee H. took on a Summer Associate - Management Consulting Intern role at Q5. They later served as the Executive Director at CCS Fundraising from 2017 to 2019.

Most recently, Lee H. has been working at YouthBuild USA, initially as a Director of Development from 2019 to 2021, then as a Senior Director of Development from 2021 to 2021, and now as the Vice President of Development from 2022 onwards.

Lee H. obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree specializing in Strategy, Corporate Finance, and Social Innovation & Impact from NYU Stern School of Business in 2017. Prior to that, they received a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University in 2014. Lee H. completed their undergraduate studies at Tufts University from 2005 to 2009, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Peace & Justice Studies and Middle Eastern Studies. They completed their secondary education at Highland Park High School.
