Miguel Lourenço

Miguel Lourenço has a diverse work experience in the fields of computer vision, machine learning, and technology. Miguel'smost recent position was as a Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Youverse, where they were responsible for engineering processes, technology adoption, and roadmap definition for the YooniK SAAS platform. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Director at Vision-Box, where they oversaw the research team's portfolio of projects and managed computer vision and biometrics solutions. Miguel also held roles at DefinedCrowd Corp., where they served as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer and Computer Vision Lead Developer, and at Portugal Telecom Inovação and Project-Box, SA as a Computer Vision Developer. Additionally, Miguel has freelanced as a Computer Vision and Machine Learning Engineer and worked as a Computer Vision Researcher at the Institute of Systems and Robotics - University of Coimbra. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in facial recognition, image segmentation, image recognition, object detection, and more.
