Katerina Kosmopoulou, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Katerina is currently involved with CFA UK, where they hold the position of Vice-Chair and has been a Member of the Board of Directors since November 2019. Katerina also serves as a Member of the Investment Committee at Inyova Impact Investing, a fintech-based impact investment platform for retail investors in the DACH region, since April 2022.
Prior to their current roles, Katerina worked at J. Stern & Co. as a Partner, delivering bespoke and highly concentrated Global Equity investment solutions to clients. Katerina employed a long-term investment approach based on independent in-house research and integrated ESG analysis. Katerina managed client assets during their tenure at J. Stern & Co., starting from January 2013.
Before joining J. Stern & Co., Katerina had an extensive experience at RCM, Allianz Global Investors. Katerina was Senior Fund Manager and Vice President for Global Equities, co-developing and steering the group's core and high-alpha Global Equity strategies. Katerina built a strong track record and an international client base using a fundamental bottom-up approach balanced with thematic top-down asset allocation. From September 2000 to October 2001, they were also a Fund Manager for Small Cap European Equities, focusing on emerging disruptors, niche market players, and suppliers along the value chain. Katerina worked with RCM, Allianz Global Investors for a decade, from November 2001 to October 2010.
Katerina Kosmopoulou, CFA, has an extensive education history. Katerina obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business Administration from the University of Bath, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Following this, Katerina pursued a Masters of Science (MSc) degree in International Securities, Investment and Banking at the ICMA Centre, Henley Business School, University of Reading, from 1999 to 2000.
In 2005, Katerina further enhanced their education by completing the Executive Programme in Finance & Leadership at IMD. Katerina also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute in June 2004, showcasing their expertise in the field.
Throughout their career, Katerina has continued to acquire additional certifications to expand their knowledge. In January 2005, they obtained the Investment Management Certificate from CFA UK. Later, in September 2020, Katerina obtained the Certificate in ESG Investing from CFA UK, demonstrating their proficiency in environmental, social, and governance factors. Most recently, in November 2021, they acquired the Certificate in Sustainability & Climate Risk from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), displaying their competence in addressing sustainability and climate-related risks.
